L'indomani del riconoscimento della Palestina come stato osservatore non membro dell'Onu, avvenuto poche settimane fa, la risposta di Israele era stata immediata: proposta di avvio di nuove colonie nei territori occupati.

Oggi quella proposta diventa realtà: il governo israeliano costuirà nuovi insediamenti.

Sono state programmate, infatti, nuove 523 unità abitative dislocate tra Gerusalemme Est (la zona "musulmana" della Capitale) e la Cisgiordania (Il territorio a maggioranza musulmana controllato militarmente - e politicamente - da Israele).

Ora, una prima riflessione doverosa ci impone di chiederci: perché questo botta-risposta.

Perché è una catena di conseguenze che ha la sua origine moderna col l'insediamento di uno Stato d'Israele alla fine del secondo conflitto mondiale ma che in realtà, a ben vedere, apparterrebbe a quel più generale antigiudaismo che è l'insieme delle idee volte a strappare ad Israele quel territorio o, come affermano altri, a "distruggere Israele".

Quindi la contesa Palestina- Israele rientra non solo in una cornice storica molto antica, ma anche in una cornice politica internazionale e ampia.

Gli schieramenti in questione sono Israele con i propri alleati (in primis gli Usa) e l'Autorità Nazionale Palestinese (ANP) con i propri (Iran ecc...).

Gli Israeliti si sentono perennemente minacciati. Si sentono di vivere con le armi puntate addosso. Ora, al di là della drammatizzazione politica della questione, è vero che nella vita quotidiana questi sentimenti sono percepiti.

Perciò, il discorso di Nethanyau al Congresso delle Nazioni Unite circa la "linea rossa" del completamento della dotazione di energia anucleare delle centrali iraniane era chiaro all'interno di Israele ma non è stato minimanente preso in considerazione all'estero (tranne gli Stati Uniti).

Questa riflessione storico-politica, allora, ci aiuta molto a chiarire le vicende di cui "passivamente" il mio Paese viene a conoscenza (in maniera poco diretta, poco organica, poco incidendo nelle scelte volte alla pace e alla collaborazione di tutti perché in quella terra nasca uno Stato di Palestina e venga riconosciuto e rispetto quello d'Israele.

Allora, il punto è che la controversia non finirà mai, se le due parti non provano ad immedesimarsi almeno una volta, nella situazione dell'altro:

- Gli Israeliti dovrebbero pensare che non avere una patria toglie la dignità, intristisce, è una condizione spiacevolissima; per rammentarlo potrebbero semplicemente leggere i tanti profeti che Dio ha mandato al loro popolo e le preghiere e le lacrime durante i due "soggiorni forzati" in schiavitù a Babilonia e in Egitto;

infine, dovrebbero pensare che le angherie militari essi le hanno subite durissimamente (Shoah) e che trasformarsi da vittime in carnefici è contro la volontà di Dio e contro la Storia e contro sé stessi;

- I Palestinesi devono pensare che è un diritto importante quello di garantire, custodire e salvaguardare la presenza di uno Stato d'Israele in quei luoghi, perché è giusto che ogni uomo abbia una patria, perché anche gli Israeliti (così come loro stessi) furono scacciati dalla loro legittima terra, perché sono una risorsa culturale, economica e morale per tutta quella regione;

potrebbero anch'essi aprire il Corano e scoprire i segreti insiti nella convivenza e ricordare come i propri padri facevano bene ad assicurare agli abitanti delle conquiste arabe del VI - VII secolo il mantenimento della propria fede, dei propri costumi e delle proprie consuetudini, semplicemente pagando una tassa;

Infine, Ebrei e Musulmani e Cristiani dello Stato invisibile di Palestina e visibilissimo di Israele potrebbero anche ricordarsi che sono figli dello stesso Dio! Che Dio è uno! Che Dio è il Padre di tutti gli uomini della Terra! Che Dio ama tutti i suoi figli e uccidere un uomo, privare un uomo della vita, significa offendere Dio!

Per portare avanti il processo di pace, in un recente passato, ci sono stati uomini coraggiosi e ispirati che volevano garantire pace-dialogo-prosperità ai due popoli.

La guerra cancella, la pace costruisce, questo dovrebbe essere il messaggio, in ricordo di quei coraggiosi che hanno provato con il proprio entusiasmo a cambiare una situazione assai comune in quella terra unica!
